Weinor Managing Director Thilo is making plans to retire at the end of 2023. Until then, he will dedicate himself actively to shaping the company’s future. Weiermann took over the company from his father in 1991 and has expanded it since then to become one of the leading international manufacturers in the area of sun and weather protection for the patio.
Together with the Swiss majority shareholder Griesser, the 60-year-old Weinor Managing Director wishes to use the period remaining until he leaves to ensure that a suitable successor is found. “We now have ample time to find somebody who can continue to advance Weinor’s development as its Managing Director”, as Thilo Weiermann assures. He stresses that Weinor has a stable foundation which also guarantees continuity and success in the future.
Important plans still for 2023
Weinor wishes to initiate and develop significant projects under the leadership of Weiermann during the coming year. These also include the Artares louvred roof which is being furthered with more and more functions. Also, new products will be launched on the market in 2023. Moreover, the E-shop will constantly be expanded, simplifying and speeding-up the order and installation processing for Weinor products significantly. Additionally, the expansion of production facilities at the Möckern location close to Magdeburg, Germany, is almost ready. The new construction of the 7,350 m2 production hall is scheduled for spring 2023 and enables almost a doubling of the current capacities in the mid-term.
“Design the future”
Due to these numerous plans, Thilo Weiermann does not wish to indulge in any farewell sentimentalities: “I am still here for longer and we have more than enough to do in the remaining year. I really took forward to that. And also, for the time afterwards we now already have several plans for shaping our company’s future which still must be implemented. We think in the long-term and ensure stability and security. You can rely on this at Weinor”.
